Viime kesänä tein töitä enemmän kuin olisin jaksanut. Sulkemisajan jälkeen kävelin kotiin yksin, väsyneenä. Naapuritalojen valot näyttivät pehmeämmiltä ja kutsuvammilta kuin kotini pimeät ikkunat.

Last summer I worked more than I should have. After closing time I used to walk home alone, exhausted. The lights from the neighboring houses looked softer and more inviting than the dark windows of my home.
